Catching Gnats

The Gnatcatcher family
Catches gnats. I am watching them
Catching gnats.
I caught me a glimpse of it, using my focal length strength,
And it’s what I saw.

A gnat is an insect.
It’s on a temperate eve,
Near summer coming to an end,
Where your torso starts to bend
And several dozen gnats swarm ’round in your throat
When you wheeze
Until you heave,
And the warm breeze is blowing through the leaves.

A gnat is a nuisance
That brings your voice to loosen,
to cough, to scream, to shout, to sing poetry,
That you might later write it down.
I am catching gnats.
